Specialized Rockcombo
About
Early 90’s Specialized Rockcombo (internet photo: mine was significantly less cool looking)
While working at Durham Bike, Pieter obtained this through a trade-in. He took what he wanted from it and sold it to me for cheap. It was an odd bike—not a cross bike (it had 26" wheels) but not a MTB (it had drop bars). I rode it to school a bunch, and even did a race or two on it (riding it was the only time I ever beat Dickey at Kingman). After about a year I painted it red, built it with a flat bar, and sold it to Greg’s sister Erin.
